§ 15.40.060. Amendments—Plastic pipe for water service lines and water distribution lines.

Plastic pipe for water service lines and water distribution lines amendments to the Uniform Plumbing Code adopted in Section 15.40.020 are as follows:
A.

Water Service Lines.

1.

Materials for water service lines shall meet the requirements of Section 604.0 and Table 6-4 of the Uniform Plumbing Code.

2.

All water service lines from the meter to the building shall be no less than three-quarters of an inch in diameter and shall be required to have a minimum cover of thirty-six inches.

3.

Schedule 40 PVC and CPVC water piping shall not pass through a foundation wall and must terminate within two feet of the inside and outside of the foundation wall. Copper tubing shall be used to pass through the foundation wall.

B.

Potable Water Distribution Lines Under and Within Structures.

1.

Materials for water distribution lines shall meet the requirements of Section 604.0 and Table 6-4 of the Uniform Plumbing Code.
