§ 5.12.110. Exemption from K.S.A. 41-719.

  • The city exempts that portion of the Great Bend Municipal Airport commonly known as the Expo Area, which area is currently leased to the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, from the provisions of K.S.A. 41-719, such real estate more particularly described as follows:

    1. The following described real estate located in Barton County, Kansas: A tract of land lying in Section 34-T19S-R14W of the 6th P.M., Barton County Kansas, and also lying within the Westport Addition to the City of Great Bend, Kansas, described as follows: Commencing at the southwest of Section 34-T19S-R14W; thence north along the west line of Section 34 a distance of 3055.10 feet; thence northeasterly at a deflection angle to the right of 55 degrees 59'00", a distance of 796.76 feet for a point of beginning; thence southeasterly at a deflection angle to the right of 94 degrees 10'06", a distance of 268.27 feet to a point that is 4.5 feet from, measured perpendicular to the edge of said taxi-way a distance of 650 feet; thence northwesterly at 90 degrees a distance of 31.05 feet; thence southwesterly at a deflection angle to the left of 94 degrees 17'22", a distance of 651.80 feet to the point of beginning. This tract contains 2.367 acres, more or less. (Expo area)

    That part of Westport Addition to the City of Great Bend, Barton County, Kansas, described as follows:

    Commencing at the northeast corner of Section 3, Township 20 South, Range 14 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Barton County, Kansas; thence on an assumed bearing of South 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West, along the east line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 3, a distance of 140.00 feet; thence on a bearing of North 88 degrees 47 minutes 30 seconds West, along the south line of Sixth Street, a distance of 1130.28 feet to the intersection of the south line of said Sixth Street and the east line of "C" Street; thence continuing on a bearing of North 88 degrees 47 minutes 30 seconds West, along the south line of said Sixth Street, a distance of 304.00 feet; thence on a bearing of North 00 degrees 31 minutes 03 seconds East, a distance of 64.00 feet to the point of beginning of the land to be described; thence continuing on a bearing of North 00 degrees 31 minutes 03 seconds East, a distance of 218.00 feet; thence on a bearing of North 88 degrees 47 minutes 30 seconds West a distance of 140.00 feet; thence on a bearing of South 00 degrees 31 minutes 03 seconds West a distance of 218.00 feet; thence on a bearing of South 88 degrees 47 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 140.00 feet to the point of beginning.

    The Consumption of alcoholic beverages or cereal malt beverages in the Westport Addition area described in this section shall only be allowed with the consent of the Governing Body.
