§ 5.28.110. Current license holders.

A.

Persons holding current licenses as contractors in the city shall be notified in writing by the building inspector of the changes in the licensing requirements hereunder and of the limited opportunity to upgrade the license as set out herein.

B.

Persons currently holding contractor licenses shall be given the opportunity to apply for a different classification of contractor license and shall be considered by the building board of examiners and appeals for said license without having to meet the testing requirements as set out in Section 5.28.060. The board shall apply standards used in granting said licenses as they existed before the sixth day of November, 1995.

C.

Applicants for upgraded licenses shall apply for the upgrade hereunder not later than March 1, 1996, to qualify for consideration of the upgrade without the testing requirements being met. Applications shall be submitted upon forms provided by the building inspector and shall be accompanied by proof of insurance and proof of compliance with bonding requirements applicable to the license for which they are applying.

D.

The building board of examiners and appeals shall consider all applications received on or before March 1, 1996, at its earliest convenience.
