§ 13.08.060. Standby fire protection—Billing.

Monthly Billing. Users of standby fire protection service at the Westport Addition shall be billed for such service monthly in advance by the city clerk. Bills shall become delinquent fifteen days after becoming due. When delinquent, a penalty charge of five percent of the monthly bill shall be charged. When such bill shall remain delinquent for thirty-one days after becoming due, an additional five percent penalty shall be charged and the city clerk shall notify the department of public works, who shall send notice to the delinquent user stating the intended termination of water service and information on procedures for contesting the termination. Following required notice and expiration of allotted time for such response, the department of public works shall discontinue water service to the delinquent user.
